At River Terrace Inn, the Napa River is our backyard. As stewards of the Valley, we know eco-friendly initiatives are of the utmost importance and that is why we strongly believe in taking the necessary steps to help ensure that our hotel helps preserve and protect the indoor and outdoor environment. River Terrace Inn is proud to be the first Green Certified hotel in Napa Valley, here are the following eco-friendly initiatives our hotel has in place:

• Aluminum bottled water program
• Refillable water stations throughout property
• Bulk amenities in refillable bottles
• Water conservation via our linen change policy
• Coffee station supplied with wooden sticks, no straws
• Mugs for in-room coffee station
• Use of dimmers, motion detectors, low voltage devices, and fluorescent bulbs to reduce total energy consumption
• Eliminated plastic straws and replaced with paper
• Cardboard is bailed and recycled daily
• Use of energy-efficient heating, cooling, laundry, and kitchen equipment
• Sourcing locally produced food and beverages to support local growers and reduce our carbon footprint.
• Maximize our waste management and composting programs, including workforce development programming.
